CoverLetterRefiner

Privacy & your text

Your resume is a sensitive document, so this page says plainly what happens to it.

Where your text goes

When you press Refine my letter, the job description, resume and draft are sent to this app's own server, which forwards them to Anthropic's Claude API to produce the rewrite. They are held in memory for the length of that request and are not written to a database — this version has no database.

Anthropic's handling of API traffic is governed by their own terms, not by this page.

What is stored, and where

The result — your three variants, the changelog, and the three inputs, so a refinement can be re-run — is written to your own browser's local storage. It never leaves your device after that. The ten most recent refinements are kept; older ones are dropped as new ones arrive.

Clearing this site's data removes everything, as does the delete button on any entry in saved letters. There is no copy on our side to delete, because there is no copy on our side.

Accounts and payment

There are no accounts, so there is no email address, password or profile to hold. If checkout is switched on, payment is handled entirely by Stripe on Stripe's own pages — card details never reach this app.

Analytics

Vercel Web Analytics counts page views, plus two events: one when a refinement finishes and one when someone opens checkout. It sets no cookie and records none of the text you paste.

Rate limits

Refinements are capped per network address over a rolling window, because each one costs real money to run. If you hit the cap the app says so and tells you roughly how long to wait.
